| 1.
Mix
light blue and gray acrylic paint together to make a dusty blue color.
2.
Paint an ATC blank
a dusty blue color. Let air dry or use heat gun to speed drying time.
3.
Cut out image of Asian woman and place it slightly off center on the ATC,
and adhere it with your glue of choice.
4.
Use white glue to outline the image and the pour small burgundy beads
onto the ATC. Let Dry.
5.
When the glue has dried, shake off the excess beads. The beads that are
glued down should frame the image. The frame may not be exactly square
to the image. That is okay, but if you prefer a more unified frame look,
add more glue and use a ruler to straighten out the line of the beads as
you add more beads to the glue.
6.
Glue a shell flower bead to the top left and bottom right corners of the
ATC.
7.
Punch three holes in the bottom of the ATC. Make sure that they are
spaced evenly across the bottom of the ATC.
8.
Cut a small length of hemp cording and put the strand through the hole
on the left and knot the hemp at the bottom of the hole.
9.
Thread an Asian bead onto one strand of the hemp (you will cut off the
other strand later) and knot the hemp (one strand) underneath the bead.
10.
Repeat steps 8 and 9 for the next two holes. Cut any stray threads.
11.
Cut a long length of hemp cording and fold it in half so that you have a
loop on one end. Put this loop through the top hole and grab the thread
on the other side of the ATC and pull it through the loop. This will
secure the length of hemp to the ATC and be the part you put around your
neck.
12.
At the end of one of the strands thread a bead and knot the thread after
the bead. Tie a loop at the end of the other strand. This will be your
necklace’s closure. If you choose you may just tie the two ends together
for a closure…it is your choice.
