1. Cut out a partial image from the
Paper Pieces (this will be your background) Adhere it to the bamboo
tile with white glue.
2. Cut out an image from the Mini Chix sheet and layer on top of the
background piece.
3. Cut a piece of wire about 6 inches long.
4. Starting with one side, thread the wire through the top hole down
to the bottom hole on the corresponding side, leaving about 1 ½ to 2
inches at the top and about 3 inches at the bottom.
5. Hold the top wire while adding assorted beads to the bottom. Make
sure to have a MIDDLE bead so both of the bottom sides are even. You
will be CROSSING the bottom of the tile and going UP the next side.
6. When you are happy with the bottom beading, thread the remaining
wire through to the TOP of the other side. You should end up with
two top wires that are about 1 ½ inches to 2 inches long each.
7. Add a few beads to one side of the wire. A good way to stop the
beads from falling off the other side while you’re beading is to
wrap a small piece of tape to the top.
8. Repeat the above step to the other side.
9. Pull both sides tight and get them as even as possible. Twist the
remaining unbeaded wire pieces together to form one twisted strand.
Make a loop with the round nose pliers, making sure the loop is
large enough for the ribbon to fit through.
10. Loop ribbon through the wire loop and pull it tight. “Squish”
the wire and ribbon together very tightly.
11. Add your large holed bead and pull down until it fits snuggly
over the ribbon AND wire and touches the two side beads on the
bottom.
12. Trim the ends of the ribbon and knot- voila! A pretty necklace
in a jiffy!
