Make your background using different kinds of papers and textures. Use
acrylic (I use Golden acrylics) – dry fast – and Golden Fluid acrylics to
give depth to your background. Create a small collage using an image from
the ARTchix Hello Dolly collage sheet and the ARTchix To From transparency
sheet. Add Silver mesh (Making Memories) on top of your collage and attach
it with staples. Attach tag with transparency words (the ARTchix Tell Me
transparency sheet) for the title. And of course, don’t forget to attach
your journal pages with ARTchix Hand Dyed Ribbons!
Page #1.
Choose a pattern paper (Basic Grey) for your background. Age the paper
using white gesso with a dry brush. Try to give your page some kind of
design and make your collage. Use different kinds of textured papers and
don’t be afraid to paint over them. Attach transparency title (ARTchix
Tell Me transparency sheet), image (ARTchix Little Darlings collage
sheet), lace and crown (ARTchix Tiny Crowns).
Page #2.
Use pattern paper (Basic Grey), stamp over it, glue down image from
ARTchix Little Darlings collage sheet, give the boy a crown with ARTchix
Brass Heishi and a paper cut out. Attach text from ARTchix To From
transparency sheet on top of your page.
Page #3.
Create your own background paper using rubber stamp (Stampendous). Then,
cut a heart shape into pattern paper (Basic Grey) and glue little girl
transparency (ARTchix Little One transparency sheet) on top. Attach ribbon
and ice cream cone
charm. Don’t be afraid to age your page with gesso.
Page #4.
Use pattern paper (Basic Grey) for your background. Choose
the ARTchix picture you prefer (I used ARTchix Little Darlings collage
sheet), draw some doodles and funny hairdo around your character, add
ARTchix Tiny Crown and glue it down on your page. Draw lines around it
with oil pastels. Cut transparencies (ARTchix To From transparency sheet)
and glue them over your main picture. The tag is from Basic Grey : attach
it with ribbon and glue transparency words
(ARTchix Little One transparency sheet) over it.
Page #5.
Make your own background paper using acrylic paints. Paint your paper with
the color of your choice, then add paint lines all around your page with a
dry brush. Write down notes, sentences, quotes with dry pastel pencils.
Use the paper from which you previously cut the heart shape (see page 3)
and use it as a frame. Add your image from ARTchix Little Darlings collage
sheet and alter it. Attach transparent words from ARTchix Tell Me
transparency sheet above image.
Page #6.
Cut a tag into pattern paper (Basic Grey). Add picture (ARTchix Little
Darlings collage sheet) and attach transparency (ARTchix To From
transparency sheet). I used a tiny red see-through coin that I found at a
Bingo party and thought it would look cool on a collage. Don’t forget to
turn your pretty little girl into a fairy with the ARTchix Small Brass
Wings!
Page #7.
Attach
image from ARTchix Little One transparency sheet with brads. Keep in mind
that your background will see through the transparency so be careful when
you choose it so that it doesn’t look too busy.
Page #8.
Choose textured paper for your page and write down quotes and sentences
over it. Add some papers and attach your ARTchix picture (ARTchix Hello
Dolly collage sheet) on the tag in the middle (Basic Grey). Tie ribbon on top of your tag and use dry brush to
age the tag. When all of your pages are dry and complete, punch holes
along the left side and tie them all together with ribbon. TA DA!
